Selected 2G Composition: 1

One fine sunny day, Mary, Tom and Johnny went to the East Coast Park to spend the weekend together. They were very excited as they wanted to play at the park.  While Mary and Tom were exercising near the park, naughty Johnny decided to ignore the signage and climb over the railing near the canal.

Suddenly, Johnny lost his balance and fell into the canal.  Mary and Tom were panicked to see their friend, Johnny, struggling in the water.  Just then, two passers-by heard his shout for help.  The young and strong man quickly dived into the water and rescued Johnny while the old man helped Johnny to the ground.  Fortunately, Johnny just had a bruise on his leg.  Mary and Tom were relieved.

When he reached home, Johnny’s mother reprimanded him and reminded him that it was dangerous to climb over the railing near the canal.  What a painful lesson Johnny had learnt from!

It was a bright and sunny day.  Mike went to the playground to play by himself.  Mike was excited to see his favourite swing.  He stood on the swing happily.

After a short while, he decided to play at the slide.  Instead of sliding on the slide, naughty Mike ran down the slide.  Accidentally, he hit his head and fractured his left arm.  He felt very painful.

Fortunately, a passer-by saw what had happened to Mike.  He quickly brought him to the nearest hospital.   The doctor put a cast on Mike’s fractured left arm with an arm sling and bandaged his forehead.  Mike thanked the passer-by for bringing him to see a doctor.  When Mike reached home, he was reprimanded by his mother.  What a painful experience he had!

Simplified Answer
Last bright and sunny Saturday, my parents and I decided to go to the beach to have a picnic.  We gleamed with delight.  We packed some delicious cakes, sandwiches, cartons of juice in a box  and brought along a big umbrella, a beach mat and some beach toys.  We went there by car.

When we reached our destination, the beach was crowded with many youngsters in their beach wear.   They were enjoying swimming in the sea.  First, we found a shady spot to put up our big beach umbrella.  Next, we changed into our swimming costume and trunks at the nearest toilet.   While my parents were enjoying their swim, I quickly took out my bucket and spade and started to build a big sandcastle excitedly.   Soon it was getting late.  We decided to go for our dinner at a nearby restaurant.

We enjoyed the visit to the beach.  It was an unforgettable day at the beach.   We looked forward to going to the beach next weekend.
